Hua Zhong You (lingering on the picture)

Hua Zhong You comprises the group of pavilions, towers and chambers along the hill road. They were first built in the Emperor Qianlong's reign, destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored to the present state in the Emperor Guangxu's reign. Built close to the hill, the halls were all connected by verandas, cleverly making use of the geographical variations.

The group of architectures consists of an octagonal two-story building, two octagonal pavilions in symmetry and other two pavilions.

Passing the high stone arch behind the octagonal pavilion, from where we can overlook the few nearby yellow and green glazedtiled octagonal buildings. And the lake and hills add radiance and beauty to each other in the dis-tance. Also, we can have a bird's-eye view of the six bridges at the western bank, and the rolling Yuquan Hill in the west. People may feel like in a picture, the implication of the name of Hua Zhong You.
